Natalie Newman is a native of Dallas, Texas and a Magna Cum Laude graduate from The Ohio State University, where she received a BFA in Dance. She is a graduate of the esteemed Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where she was first introduced to the concert world of dance. Newman is also a proud graduate of Kitty Carter’s Dance Factory, where she honed her performance skills and dance techniques. She spent numerous summers training with companies such as Doug Varone and Dancers, the Joffrey Ballet School, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and more. In 2017, she had the pleasure of traveling to Denmark with a performance company where she performed works by Sofie Clemmensen and Joshua Manculich at several large festivals and showcases. Upon graduating from The Ohio State University, she began dancing as a company member of B MOORE DANCE, under the artistic direction of Bridget L. Moore. The company performed locally in Dallas and even performed alongside other major local dance companies at the TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND festival in 2020. The company has performed in several big conferences such as Association of Performing Arts Professionals in New York City, and at The International Association of Blacks in Dance in Pittsburg. Currently, Natalie Newman is a proud instructor at Kitty Carter’s Dance Factory and Program Coordinator at the Joffrey Ballet School Texas training program. Working in these roles, she is able to combine her passions for dance, teaching, Pilates, performing and choreographing.
